David Gendell, a lifelong Annapolis sailor, will walk through the history of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse including the rise of the port. A portion of the proceeds from the book are donated to lighthouse preservation efforts. His book, Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse (The History Press, July 2020) is the first book specifically devoted to the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse. In 2004, he was the emcee of the transfer ceremony that shifted ownership of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse from the federal government to the City of Annapolis and its partners.
